March 2009:  The Three Rivers Project

Not quite but a great alignment of three separate Projects in the Monnow catchment has resulted in the Honddu, Escley and Dulas being coppiced by three different gangs at the same time. The overall results will be: about 16kms of river bank habitat improved and protected; 4 new beats available to fish on the WUF Roving Voucher Scheme and, in the case of the Honddu and Dulas, four excellent demonstration sites that will allow us to show the farmers, locals and potential grant funders the work that we do and why it is so good for the river and wider environment.
