Reports are coming in of Signal Crayfish being found on the River Dore at Peterchurch and upstream of the Nag's Head bridge.

It is vitally important that we do everything in our power to stop the spread of this pest to other parts of the catchment - to that end, we are asking that all anglers thoroughly disinfect their equipment after use.

Detailed information on how to do this will be posted here soon; in the meantime, please take a moment to review the EA's advice here.

The MFA announces the launch of a new project:

Well, they did it!

From mouth to source in 3 gruelling days - 43 miles and 43 fish.  Well done Patrick & Rob - a truely astonishing feat!

So far, over £4000 has been raised which will enable the MFA to carry on vital work in the catchment.  Thank you for your invaluable support.

It's not too late for you to contribute - just go online to www.justgiving.com/monnow and make a donation.
