Hotels
We are lucky to have many first rate hotels within reach of the Monnow. We have listed a selection of some of the best:
Good beer, food and accommodation within walking distance of the Upper Monnow and Escley Brook.
Ideally placed between the historic town of Abergavenny and Hereford.
Llanthony Priory Hotel A small county inn situated in the Honddu valley and part of a 12th century Augustinian priory. A good place for lunch if fishing the Honddu and a perfect centre for other activities such as pony trekking and walking.
The Skirrid Mountain Inn Although not strictly a hotel, the Skirrid, as the “oldest pub in Wales” had to be included. Another good place for a pub lunch when fishing the Honddu.
This award-winning hotel on the banks of the Monnow offers first class accommodation and superb food.
Handy for Monmouth shops and tours of the Wye Valley
